Things We Like
Design: DJI is a trusted brand and this is a trusted quadcopter. This drone is a quality piece of equipment and it has a ton of capabilities. It’s basically RTF out of the box as well. The blades are extremely easy to remove and replace. They auto-lock after the device is turned on.
Battery: The battery has a smart indicator, which means this drone lets you know when it’s getting close to dying. The max flight time is also 25 minutes, which is considerably higher than a lot of other drones. You get a ton of flight time from a single charge.
Zenmuse H3-2D Gimbal: The drone doesn’t come with a camera, but DJI released their Zenmuse H3-2D Gimbal to hold a GoPro. This is an incredible piece of equipment. It has three motors inside of it that maintains a steady stream for your camera. Even when the drone is tilting in any direction, the camera stabilizes and moves positions to create an incredibly advanced filming system. The footage is unbelievably smooth. This is available extra for purchase. If you want it already installed, check out the Vision + review.
Transmitter: The transmitter’s sensitivity is much higher than the first model of the Phantom. The handling has also been improved. We were impressed by the capabilities of the control.
GPS: The GPS system is customizable. It allows you to program the flight path and it allows for you to program the landing and landing zone.
